Furniture Returns (including selected Home lines)

Before you return your furniture please note:
  • Furniture (including rugs, mirrors, barbeques and chimeneas) cannot be returned to any Debenhams store.
  • We are happy to refund most items within 14 days of receipt, but a collection charge will apply. This does not affect your statuary rights. Please refer to the below table for all charges which may apply.

    How do I return furniture?

    Step 1. To return your furniture item(s) please contact our furniture team.

    Step 2. For items where unwrapping and assembly was not carried out in your home by our delivery agent please ensure the returned goods are repackaged in their original packaging.

    Step 3. Until the collection has taken place you will be required to keep the item in the same condition in which it was delivered.

    Claiming your refund

    The refund will be processed once goods have been collected and received back into our warehouse. Please allow 14 days for the refund to be credited to your account.

    What is the returns policy for furniture and rugs?

    Furniture purchased under a distance contract (online or by phone) can be returned in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Contracts (information Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (CCRs). Except for the items of furniture listed below in the Exclusions section, you can cancel your purchase and return the item if you inform us within 14 days from the date of delivery of goods.


    Cost of returning your furniture

    You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item. We offer a collection service under which a £75 charge will be made for the cost of collection of all furniture items, except that for outdoor furniture, barbeques & chimeneas, bean bags, headboards, bed frames, office chairs & desks, TV stands, hi-fi stands, dining and bedroom mirrors and bar stools, the cost of collection will be £25, except for eve products which will be collected free of charge.


    Condition of your furniture

    Items must be returned in their original packaging. Until the collection has taken place or the item has been returned to us, you will be required to keep the item in the same condition as it was in when delivered to you. We reserve the right to consider the condition of any item you return to us and make deductions to the refund paid to you on account of any use of the item or any damage to the product or packaging, except for products being returned under eve's 100 night mattress trial.


    Courier Collection

    Collections can take up to 21 days to be booked in to the carrier collection network. Your refund will be processed immediately upon receipt of the item back at our warehouse. Eve collections need to be booked directly with their customer service, anything being returned under the 100 night mattress trial will be refunded within 1-3 working days after being assessed by eve's quality control.


    Exclusions

    We do not accept returns on mattresses or divan sets that have been removed from their original packaging, except for eve mattresses being returned as part of the 100 night mattress trial. This does not affect your statutory rights.
